Ryan is the driving force behind Pinnacle 1 Tax Advisors’ client-first approach to tax strategy. As a third-generation tax professional with a background in both Accounting and Computer Science, Ryan blends analytical precision with forward-thinking strategies.

For more than 30 years, Ryan’s family has served clients across Charleston and the Southeast. Today, he carries that legacy forward by offering a more modern model that goes far beyond traditional “once-a-year” tax preparation. Ryan is committed to proactive planning, individualized strategies, and truly understanding each client’s goals.

Ryan graduated from the University of South Carolina and continually invests in his professional development through industry conferences, business groups, and tax strategy acceleration programs. This ensures Pinnacle 1 Tax Advisors stays connected to national leaders in finance, tax, and business growth.

Roland Minnis, CPA

Senior Advisor & Certified Public Accountant

With more than 30 years of experience in public accounting and corporate finance, Roland is one of the most seasoned members of our team. He brings deep technical expertise and an unwavering commitment to accuracy and integrity.

Roland graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) in 1988. He began his career in Big Four public accounting before holding Controller and CFO positions within both public and private-equity-owned companies. His work has spanned budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, audit oversight, and complex tax compliance.

Over the last five years, Roland has shifted his focus to supporting individuals and small businesses, helping them understand their financial picture, reduce tax liability, and operate with confidence.

Clients appreciate Roland’s calming presence, his honesty, and his gift for turning complicated financial questions into easy to understand actionable plans.

Rachel Bryner, MBA

Director of Marketing & Communications

Rachel oversees all brand strategy, marketing, and client communications for Pinnacle 1 Tax Advisors. She ensures our firm has consistent and compelling messaging across all channels.

With an MBA in Marketing from the College of Charleston and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management with a focus in Digital Marketing Strategy from Virginia Tech, Rachel brings a sophisticated understanding of how to communicate complex service offerings in a simple, trustworthy, and engaging way.

Rachel plays a key role in shaping how clients experience the firm, making sure the Pinnacle 1 voice is warm, professional, and easy to understand.

Hunter Moore

Junior Accountant

Hunter is the newest addition to Pinnacle 1 Tax Advisors and brings a strong work ethic, adaptability, and genuine eagerness to serve clients. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Finance at Western Governors University.

His academic track includes coursework aligned with CFA and CFP principles, giving him a high standard of ethical and professional understanding. Hunter is skilled in Excel, forecasting, financial modeling, and interpreting financial statements.

Hunter has a warm approach that people gravitate toward. He communicates clearly, works well under pressure, and pays attention to every detail. Hunter is also a certified personal trainer, so whether it’s finances or fitness, he’s passionate about helping people grow.
